I purchased these highlighters because of several recommendations stating that they will not bleed through the paper, even on the thin pages typical of bibles. I've been highlighting a pew bible with these and they have worked wonders. The colors are nice and bright, the thickness of the chisel tip is close to that of a line of text, and as stated, they don't bleed through. You can see some of the color from the other side just like you can read some of the text, but it's not distracting at all. Another thing I've noticed is that stains on the chisel tip (from highlighting over wet ink) doesn't distort the color and disappear rather quickly (within a few lines) - even on my yellow highlighter. In most other cases, highlighting wet ink would significantly darken the highlighter for a long period of time. I can't say anything about the longevity of the highlighters, since I haven't run out yet.

Having the med and fine points is awesome, expecially if you using a study bible. My bible has the verses and smaller footnotes for each verse that help you understand each and every verse. Great highlighter I bought to use in my Bible. Great thing about it is if you make a mistake, you can simple use the other side to go over and erase it. The only problem is once you erase it, you can never highlight that text again, so make sure the fix of your first mistake doesn't end up being another mistake, or your back to square one.

I am a doctoral student and do a lot of highlighting. I absolutely hate these highlighters. The only good thing about them is that they're erasable. Let me list the bad things:

1. The barrel is triangular shaped and it hurts to hold.
2. The caps don't fit on the cap of the other end making it easy to lose the caps when you're using the marker.
3. The ink is neon colored (this might not bother you, but I hate neon ink).
4. The tip is a point not a chisel making it difficult to highlight or you have to hold it at a weird angle.
5. They run out of ink quickly. I went though 4 markers in about a month.

If you're looking for an erasable highlighter and for practically the same price, go with the Ink Tank erasable highlighers...I give them 5 stars.
