I purchased these highlighters because of several recommendations stating that they will not bleed through the paper, even on the thin pages typical of bibles. I've been highlighting a pew bible with these and they have worked wonders. The colors are nice and bright, the thickness of the chisel tip is close to that of a line of text, and as stated, they don't bleed through. You can see some of the color from the other side just like you can read some of the text, but it's not distracting at all. Another thing I've noticed is that stains on the chisel tip (from highlighting over wet ink) doesn't distort the color and disappear rather quickly (within a few lines) - even on my yellow highlighter. In most other cases, highlighting wet ink would significantly darken the highlighter for a long period of time. I can't say anything about the longevity of the highlighters, since I haven't run out yet.
